Christmas is coming! Click here to find Santa!
We have been in the park decorating the Christmas tree. Santa Tour #2
In 2020 we did it all again but due to the popularity the number of gifts handed out grew to 1500. In a year that was thwarted by Covid we struggled to raise enough funds to cover the cost of the gifts and insurance etc but thanks to a donation from Quartet and our volunteers selling Christmas Trees we managed to do it again.
In 2019 we decided to bring Santa to Avonmouth. When we realised how popular this idea was we decided to include the surrounding villages. Over the course of three evenings Santa and his team of volunteers walked over 20 miles handing out over 750 selection boxes to children in Avonmouth, Lawrence Weston, Sea Mills, Coombe Dingle, Stoke Bishop and Shirehampton.
Permanent Light Fixtures!
We’ve had the lights surrounding Avonmouth Park rewired, and as a result they are now able to stay on throughout the year (as required!) So look forward to some pink lights at Valentines Day, and some orange lights at Halloween! Spooky!
Avonmouth Football Club
Our fourth annual Christmas Party, this year showing ‘Muppets: Christmas Carol’ on a 300″ cinema screen, whilst having our ice-rink open and offering hot food and drinks to all by our Tree.
Santa arrived in his Grotto shortly after our lantern parade!
Our third annual Christmas Party, this year Santa’s Grotto was
set-up inside the Church beside the park and Santa saw over 300 children. Also inside we had Sing-a-long ‘Frozen’ with microphones, along with refreshments. Outside, we had more interactions with our Ice-rink, Christmas Tree and lantern parade.
Santa had a Grotto this year and over 200 children got gifts! Lights were put up all around Avonmouth Park to illuminate it along with our Christmas Tree! The Ice-rink was open all evening and hot food and drinks were given out!
Avonmouth Christmas Party!
Our first ever Christmas Party in Avonmouth, which began with just a real 21ft Christmas Tree in Avonmouth Park. Roasted chestnuts and other hot snacks were given out by local Guide/Scout groups, along with hot drinks and sing-a-long carols with a band.
